Art Direction, Copy, Shopper Marketing, Social

Where has your creative career taken you?

First thing it did was take me to Chicago. Once I got a job as a brand designer in a hospitality design studio 14 years ago, I learned there was no limit to the opportunities I would find in a world class city. After designing sets for the Joffrey Academy, bringing catalog spreads to life with Studio Cultivate, and designing music festivals with Red Frog Events, I landed at Arc Worldwide where I focused on shopper marketing and retail design. While at Arc, I got to participate in many pro-bono campaigns with Leo Burnett and, after winning a few awards, I discovered my love for above-the-line work. Since then, I have spent the last 4 years working in digital, social, activations, events, 360 and broadcast work.

Now, I am a Senior Experiential Strategist at Geroge P Johnson primarily working with tech clients. In my spare time, I love to give back as a mentor to Florida State University's queer and art degree seeking students, and as an instructor with Book180.

What do you consider to be 'great work'?

Great work makes you wish you thought of it–it’s simple, born of a concise insight, and executed fast. Great work is effective, it stands out in a sea of sameness, and it makes people think (but not too much ;)

What would you like to work on?

I feel very lucky to be working in live events again, but I would also love to work on campaign and brand strategy, steering the vision not just the output.
