Trans Day of Remembrance

To highlight the disproportionate amount of violence Black trans women face, I led an initiative for all Publicis Groupe Chicago to memorialize the 21 Black trans women who were murdered so far in 2019. With 24 conference rooms on each floor, new plaques were made with the names and short bio celebrating the life of each Black trans woman featured. These rooms had an accompanying table tent with facts about the unreasonably short life expectancy of Black trans women, and places to donate for TDOR. We had 8 floors participate in this initiative, renaming 160 conference rooms including our communal work floor so everyone may see and learn from this effort.
